About the Role
The Penn State Center of Excellence in Directed Energy (CEDE) in conjunction with the Computational Electromagnetics and Antennas Research Lab (CEARL) in the Department of Electrical Engineering is seeking a highly qualified individual for an exempt part-time adjunct research professor position. The role involves assisting the director, managing daily operations, collaborating with faculty, researchers, and students, and engaging with government and industry sponsors on funded research projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the director, Prof. Doug Werner, in managing the daily operation of CEDE and CEARL.
- Collaborate with other faculty, researchers, and students.
- Interact with government and industry program sponsors.
- Participate in funded research projects.
- Assist in writing proposals and preparing technical reports.
- Perform other duties as directed.
Requirements
- Possess a postgraduate degree (Ph.D. preferred) in Engineering, preferably Electrical Engineering.
- Must have United States Citizenship.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Capable of accomplishing efforts in a timely manner with high quality and a positive attitude.
Nice to Have
- Industrial experience.
Qualifications
- Postgraduate degree (Ph.D. preferred) in Engineering (preferably Electrical Engineering).
- United States Citizenship.
