The Internal Audit Group (IAG) has reinvented its audit process with initiatives like Audit NextGen and Data-Driven Continuous Auditing, supporting a world-class internal audit function that provides data-driven assurance, timely risk insights, and prepares colleagues to be enterprise leaders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop a strong knowledge of the company's operations, processes, and risk areas to ensure data analysis aligns with Internal Audit objectives.
  • Write and optimize SQL queries to source, clean, and validate data from multiple systems to support audit testing and analysis.
  • Apply analytical techniques to identify trends, anomalies, and potential risk indicators in business data.
  • Design and maintain interactive dashboards and reports to clearly present insights and findings to internal stakeholders.
  • Leverage Python and other statistical/analytical tools to perform advanced analytics, including predictive modeling, automation, and anomaly detection.
  • Work closely with audit teams and business partners to translate business questions into data-driven solutions and communicate findings in a clear, actionable manner.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance audit processes through innovative use of data analytics and automation.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of professional experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proven hands-on experience writing, optimizing, and validating SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
  • Practical experience using Python or R to perform advanced analytics, including statistical modeling, automation, and predictive techniques.
  • Proficiency in building and maintaining dashboards using Tableau, Power BI, or other enterprise-grade data visualization tools.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex data insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize effectively, and deliver high-quality results under tight deadlines.

Nice to Have

  • Working knowledge of statistical and data mining techniques, relational databases, and programming languages within a Big Data environment.
  • Bachelors or Master's degree in Analytics, Statistics, Operations Research, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
  • Experience applying analytics in support of audit, risk management, or financial services.
  • Familiarity with the Agile development life cycle and ability to work effectively within iterative, collaborative project frameworks.
