About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Provides implementation advice on complex problems that require expert level knowledge of the subject matter for effective implementation.
• Participates in all phases of software and hardware development including planning, analysis, testing, integration, documentation, training, and presentation.
• Provides technical guidance and direction for the improvement, modification, and re-engineering of business processes, policies, and procedures.
• Applies principles, methods, and knowledge of specific functional areas to specific programs.
• Finalizes and composes documentation related to development and support activities.
• Field requests from users, checks their validity, and determines assignment of hardware components such as HF transmitters, receivers, antenna matrices, and audio matrices.
• Maintains applications including RADLOGS, RADABS, LogServer, and RadRLPA to support communication operations.
• Provides Tier III support and depot-level support for communications, electronics, and control systems at COMMCOM and Remote Communication Facilities.
• Ensures CSAS and other applications meet all current and emergent cyber security requirements.
• Provides after-hours support as necessary and works on customer sites, including remote facilities in Kodiak, AK; Honolulu, HI; Pt. Reyes, CA; New Orleans, LA; Miami, FL; Boston, MA.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in Business, Law, Economics, Mathematics, or Engineering.
• Eight (8) years of applications development experience using programming languages such as Rails, Oracle, SQL, MySQL, .NET, and Java.
• Current certification in Information System Security Professional (CISSP) or equivalent.
• Secret security clearance.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 software suite, including Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Project, and Excel.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to pass and maintain background clearance investigation.
• Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment background check and drug test.
• Ability to work within a team environment and on customer sites.
• Occasional travel may be necessary.

Nice to Have

• Experience with communication systems and applications such as RADLOGS, RADABS, LogServer, and RadRLPA.
• Experience supporting communication and control systems at remote facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in relevant field.
• 8+ years of applications development experience.
• CISSP or equivalent certification.
• Secret security clearance.
