Job Description

About the Role

The Business Intelligence Developer position involves designing, developing, and maintaining reports and dashboards using Oracle Cloud reporting tools such as OTBI and BI Publisher, supporting Tableau reports, and working with SQL and PL/SQL to extract insights from Fusion data. The role requires collaboration across teams to turn complex data into actionable intelligence, ensuring data integrity, security, and performance optimization. This hybrid position is based in Livermore, CA or Dallas, TX, requiring 1-3 days in-office per week, and offers a supportive environment that values employee well-being and work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain reports and dashboards using Oracle Cloud reporting tools such as Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence (OTBI) and BI Publisher (BIP).
  • Troubleshoot and support Tableau reports as needed.
  • Write SQL and PL/SQL against backend Fusion tables from ERP, EPM, and SCM modules, and combine Fusion data with other data sources.
  • Create complex data models, data visualizations, and ad-hoc queries to meet business reporting needs.
  • Ensure reports are optimized for performance, accuracy, and usability.
  • Analyze medium-large sets of data within Oracle Cloud applications to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights.
  • Translate complex data findings into clear, concise reports and presentations for stakeholders.
  • Work with business units to understand their reporting requirements and provide solutions.
  • Configure and manage Oracle Cloud reporting environments, ensuring data integrity and security.
  • Perform regular audits and validations of reports to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
  • Manage report scheduling, distribution, and access controls to ensure timely and secure delivery of information.
  • Create and maintain detailed documentation for all reports, including technical specifications, data sources, and user guides.
  • Ensure compliance with data governance policies and regulatory requirements in all reporting activities.

Requirements

  • 5-10 years of experience.
  • Experience building and supporting Oracle Fusion Reports.
  • Proficiency with OTBI, BICC, BIP, SQL, and PL/SQL.
  • Good understanding of back-end data models / ERD of tables in the EPM, SCM, and ERP modules and how to connect and leverage these tables.
  • Backend knowledge of Oracle Fusion architecture related to reporting.
