About the Role

The Content Creation Intern at Wilder is a creative and versatile role within the Communications Team, which is part of the Shared Services/Advancement division. The team manages external and internal communications, including storytelling, media relations, digital content, social media, email marketing, design, and brand strategy. The intern will help produce engaging video and visual content for digital platforms, contributing to Wilder's mission and impact through digital storytelling. This internship offers hands-on experience in communications and marketing activities, providing an opportunity to learn about brand management, develop content, and support impactful campaigns in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create multimedia content, such as short-form videos, graphics, blogs, etc.
  • Support photo shoots, video shoots, and the development of print collateral.
  • Review and catalog Wilder's high-performing archived content, and develop creative strategies to refresh and relaunch across platforms.
  • Contribute to social media campaigns and program communication initiatives.
  • Assist with brand implementation across the organization.
  • Support the Communications team with administrative tasks and project coordination as needed.

Requirements

  • Experience creating engaging content for digital platforms, including short-form video, graphics, and written posts.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Basic video editing and graphic design skills (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut, or similar tools).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Creativity, attention to detail, and a strong visual sense.
  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to contribute effectively in a team environment.
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Communications, Marketing, Multimedia Arts or a related field.
  • GPA of 3.0 or higher.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with community-driven journalism and reporting.
  • Ability to develop and execute communication strategies.
  • Skills in planning, organizing, and prioritizing tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, CapCut, or similar tools.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Communications, Marketing, Multimedia Arts or a related field.
  • GPA of 3.0 or higher.
