Data Analyst (North America Quality Center - NAQC)

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Understand and follow the department's business model, strategic direction, purpose, and mission.
• Utilize internal and external data to identify and break down automotive quality problems. Deliver clear problems with targets for the Investigation and New Model Teams to investigate.
• Utilize text mining tools for generating topics and/or enriching existing datasets with generated features classification tasks.
• Maintain reporting systems, dashboards, and performance metrics that support key business decisions.
• Complete ad hoc data insights/requests as needed to support company goals.
• Communicate results and business impacts within the team and to management.
• Engage in on-the-job learning and follow best data practices.
• Travel up to 10% of the time, both domestically and internationally.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in data science, computer science, business analytics, economics, mathematics, statistics, an engineering-related discipline, or a related field of study.
• 0-7 years of experience working with/performing data analysis and creating forecasting models.
• Proficiency in SQL.
• Experience with Python and/or R.
• Familiarity with various data preparation and analytics tools, text mining tools, and data visualization software.
• An ability to recognize the needs of the end-user(s) and create reproducible solutions that answer those needs quickly and efficiently.
• Adept in Microsoft programs, such as Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams, and Word.
• A strong analytical mindset.
• Excellent time management, self-management, and organization skills.
• Good written, oral, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to explain technical topics to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Valid Driver's License and a satisfactory driving record.

Nice to Have

• Master's degree in data science, computer science, business analytics, economics, mathematics, statistics, an engineering-related discipline, or a related field of study.
• Automotive engineering experience.
• Knowledge of vehicle systems.
• Experience working with and analyzing automotive survey data.
• Familiarity with Alteryx and Tableau.
