Data Analytics & Engineering - Summer 2026 Internship

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate and work as part of an Agile team with Product Managers, Analysts, and Data & Analytics Engineers to understand data and business needs.
• Translate technical and business concepts and apply them to data and BI solutions.
• Support and maintain production processes and troubleshoot issues effectively.
• Support and contribute to the documentation of Current vs. Future state processes and describe the changes required for migration.
• Develop own capabilities through assessment, development planning activities, training, and coaching.
• Support strategic analytic services in partnership with technology and business teammates.
• Act as a technical data steward for priority data domains, supporting documentation of data definitions and key business metrics.
• Partner with product managers to understand the strategic vision and technical specifications for product development.
• Work with software engineering, data engineering, and architecture teams to develop solutions that meet product and customer expectations.
• Support maintenance, monitor product health, gather system statistics, troubleshoot errors, and assist in prioritization and resolution.

Requirements

• Exposure to modern programming languages.
• Experience with Agile Development and knowledge of Agile deployment tools and versioning using Git or similar tools.
• Experience in a Linux or Unix-based environment.
• Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to make data-driven recommendations independently.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate cross-functionally and vertically.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and iterative environment.
• Eagerness to help athletes and passion for technology.
• Ability to handle confidential information professionally and discreetly.
• Strong statistical research skills and ability to perform root cause analysis.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word).

Nice to Have

• Potential candidates with a major in Data Engineering, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Data Science, Computer Engineering, or Information Sciences and Technology.
• Enrolled in an accredited 4-year institution with a graduation date in December 2026 or May 2027.
• Experience working in a team environment and willingness to learn new tools and frameworks.

• Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree.
• Strong verbal communication skills to read and write reports and communicate across the organization.
• Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism.
• Ability to work in a deadline-oriented environment.
• Eagerness to learn and work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Ability to communicate technical ideas in an accessible manner.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
