The Gen Digital CSIS Engineering team provides back-end services powering consumer-facing applications and agent tools for over 500 million customers. The Machine Learning and Predictive Services team seeks a Data & AI Engineer to develop data services, automate testing, design intelligent customer routing, build data products to retain customers, and scale applications using modern cloud Data & AI frameworks, SQL/NoSQL databases, and DevOps practices. The role involves working with cloud services, designing scalable solutions, and collaborating with product teams to deliver high-quality Data & AI solutions aligned with business goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and expand the existing Inside Sales Data Lake and manage ETL processes.
- Develop and maintain modern cloud infrastructure and AI products.
- Build software releases and conduct testing of new code.
- Work with Product Managers to define software requirements.
- Lead operational and technical projects related to data and AI solutions.
- Apply modern technologies to solve challenges in data pipelines, application development, scaling, and operations.
- Leverage SQL and NoSQL databases, cloud services, and DevOps tools to deliver impactful solutions for millions of customers.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant field.
- 3+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or similar role.
- Hands-on experience building Cloud Data Warehousing solutions and developing data pipelines, ETL processes, streaming services.
- Good understanding of modern Cloud AI products and integration points.
- Experience with software-automation production systems (e.g., Jenkins, TeamCity) and automated testing frameworks.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Ruby, Java, and familiarity with DevOps tools like Git and GitHub.
- Knowledge of Google Cloud services, BigQuery, and Vertex APIs (preferred).
- Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and REST web services.
- In-depth knowledge of relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB).
- Analytical mindset with problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Excellent organizational and team leadership skills.
Nice to Have
- Knowledge of Ruby programming language.
- Experience with Google Cloud services like BigQuery and Vertex APIs.
- Familiarity with Kubernetes and Docker software.
