About the Role

Teachers Insurance and Annuity Association of America is seeking a Data Scientist in New York, NY, to control end-to-end campaign experiments, support business operations through complex data research and analysis, develop data mining methodologies, and communicate insights to enable data-driven decision making. The role involves liaising with stakeholders, evaluating statistical reports, and researching emerging data science principles to inform business strategies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Control end-to-end campaign experiments, including designing measurement plans, KPI frameworks, and performance analysis.
  • Perform complex data research and analysis to support marketing campaigns, benefit events, and business operations.
  • Develop data mining and analysis methodologies to create algorithms and predictive models.
  • Perform custom statistical reporting and analysis with data automation based on business needs.
  • Liaise with stakeholders and partners to develop and implement data mining protocols, architectures, and models.
  • Evaluate the accuracy of statistical reporting and interpret data analyses to generate insights.
  • Create data visualizations to track marketing KPIs, understand client relationships, and improve services.
  • Communicate insights from analyses to management and senior leadership to support decision making.
  • Research emerging data science principles and techniques to inform business decisions.
  • Review and provide coaching on data modeling, statistical reporting, and analysis performed by lower-level data scientists.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Quantitative Methods, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field of study.
  • Three years of experience in a related occupation, or alternatively, a Master's degree with one year of experience.
  • Experience in controlling campaign experiments, data research, and analysis.
  • Knowledge of data mining, statistical modeling, and machine learning techniques.
  • Ability to communicate insights effectively to management and stakeholders.
  • Up to 5% domestic travel required.

Qualifications
