Data Scientist/Analyst

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain a dashboard to track and visualize inspection data at multiple classification levels using Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) business intelligence solutions.
• Identify relevant data sources from assessments and other cybersecurity related data and aggregate data from various sources into a centralized and secure data repository.
• Integrate external threat intelligence feeds into the data analysis process to enrich the analysis.
• Analyze and interpret industry standards, best practices, and metrics to enhance reporting dashboards.
• Acquire, cleanse, and explore large datasets to identify patterns, trends, and insights, working with big data technologies and distributed computing platforms.
• Create ad hoc reports or analysis products in support of DCDC and USCYBERCOM mission requirements.
• Tailor reports to provide actionable insights and recommendations for improving cybersecurity posture.
• Develop and deliver Quarterly, Annual, and Monthly DODIN Inspection metrics report and briefings.
• Develop, update, and ensure distribution of all DODIN Inspection-related reports and dashboards to various organizations, including weekly, monthly, and weekly trip closure reports and compliance/failure trackers.
• Incorporate cybersecurity threat intelligence, data science techniques, and analytics tools to continuously improve the cybersecurity data analytics process.

Requirements

• Minimum of 12 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 10 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 7 years with Ph.D.; Will consider HS+16.
• Expertise in Tableau: creating dashboards and reports, transforming raw data into visual representations.
• Strong communication skills to translate stakeholder requirements into system use-cases.
• Ability to transform data sets into a common schema by merging various event types to create enriched datasets.
• Support the consolidation of metadata, data management, and search tools into a comprehensive Cybersecurity Data Catalog.
• Ability to obtain/maintain IAT Level II certification within 90 days of hire.
• Active TS clearance with the ability to obtain SCI clearance.
• U.S. Citizenship required.

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with the Department of Defense various specialized cybersecurity applications and big data analytical systems.
• Familiarity with industry standards, best practices, and metrics for developing reporting dashboards and risk management tooling related to cyber Cloud Certification Solutions Architect Data Specialty.

Qualifications

• Educational background including BS/BA, MS/MA, or Ph.D.
• Relevant experience in cybersecurity data analysis, dashboard development, and data management.
