Job Description

About the Role

The J2EE Developer shall have experience in developing and modifying applications. They will also have accountability for technology deliverables and will develop detailed design documentation. The role requires knowledge of Service Oriented Architecture principles and strong communication skills to convey issues, reports, and other deliverables.

Key Responsibilities

Experience with J2EE technologies such as Core Java, EJB, JDBC, JMS, RAD 7.5, WebSphere 7.0, and Servlets.
Solid experience with J2EE frameworks such as smartGWT, iBATIS, Castor.
Solid database experience in Oracle.
Experience with Web Service technology.
Experience with asynchronous communication.
Solid object-oriented design (OOD) and object-oriented programming (OOP) foundation with experience in UML diagramming and design documentation.
Strong XML processing experience.
Experience with JavaScript and HTML.
Experience with complex programming, debugging, data analysis, problem analysis, and resolution within OO application systems.
Present ideas and concepts effectively; demonstrate strong problem-solving skills.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree.
2-3 years of J2EE development experience.
Knowledge of Service Oriented Architecture principles.
Strong oral and written communication skills.

Nice to Have

Experience with version control software such as ClearCase.
Familiarity with Web Service technologies such as JaxWS, SOAP, and WSDL.
Familiarity with MS Office and Visio.
Self-starter, highly motivated, and a team player who adapts to a dynamic work environment.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
2-3 years of experience in J2EE development.
