About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Help design and develop a new application to serve internal customers in the ocean trade domain.
• Contribute to making solutions scalable and maintainable.
• Collaborate closely with business teams to understand customer needs.
• Employ design thinking methods and focus on user experience.
• Mentor and guide other team members on technical and project-related aspects.

Requirements

• Object-oriented analysis and design.
• Object-oriented programming and component-based development with Java.
• Experience with SQL and relational database design/development.
• Experience with HTML, CSS, and modern JavaScript frameworks.
• Understanding of Agile software development methodologies.
• Experience writing unit tests, integration tests, and end-to-end tests.
• At least 5 years of professional software development experience.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Junit, Spring Boot, Hibernate/JPA, and IntelliJ IDE.
• Experience with Angular, TypeScript, RxJS, NGRX, and Karma/Jasmine Testing.
• Operating systems include UNIX, Linux.
• Experience with Event Driven Architecture, Domain Driven Design, CQRS.
• Experience with Distributed Systems, REST API design, and Apache Kafka.
• BS in Computer Science or comparable work experience.
• Ability to design and develop complex technical solutions.
• Ensures maintainability and testability of code.
• Applies advanced design and development techniques.
• Communicates technical details to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Focuses on improving quality and performance.
• Coaches and mentors other developers.
• Identifies opportunities and mitigates technical risks.
• Discipline and cultural leadership.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of professional software development experience.
• Experience with Java, SQL, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks.
• Understanding of Agile methodologies.
