Experienced Backend Software Tester / QA

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Work individually and within a team to achieve testing goals for a classified government customer.
• Develop comprehensive test documentation and plans.
• Perform interface and integration testing of complex applications.
• Analyze and understand intricate applications and how their components interact.
• Lead and contribute to QA initiatives to ensure quality standards are met.
• Identify and troubleshoot issues within software applications to improve quality.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in software testing.
• Experience with interface and integration testing.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Basic SQL and Unix experience with a desire to gain more expertise.
• Proactive mindset and a passion for quality and continuous improvement.
• Ability to develop clear and comprehensive test documentation.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Hands-on experience leading QA initiatives.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with little supervision.

Nice to Have

• Experience with agile scrum methodologies and being part of a scrum team.
• Passion for agile testing and application lifecycle management.
• Experience with HR - Enterprise Resource Planning or Human Capital Management systems.
• Knowledge or experience in Infor Lawson software.
