About the Role

Delta Air Lines is seeking multiple IT Developers in Atlanta, Georgia, to design, develop, and implement applications and features supporting various customer interaction channels. Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement applications, features, and enhancements in support of Notifications, Virtual Assist, Messaging, Social, and other customer interaction channels with an emphasis on optimized, supportable, and well-documented code.
  • Participate in design meetings and consult with business clients to prioritize key business/technical initiatives and refine, test, and debug programs to meet business needs.
  • Utilize knowledge of the customer's business to recommend solutions and ensure business and technology objectives are met and maintained.
  • Contribute to technical initiatives and projects requiring integration of cross-functional systems; provide technical guidance in evaluating applications and systems.
  • Analyze user and process requirements and ensure those requirements can be achieved through high-quality deliverables.
  • Create system documentation/playbook(s) and serve as technical reviewer and contributor in requirements, design, and code review.
  • Collaborate with developers across multiple projects to build consensus on creation of reusable application components.
  • Administer product upgrades and patches.
  • Develop and support database scripts in support of detailed data capture for application support.
  • Analyze trade-offs between usability and performance needs.
  • Proactively collaborate with team to maintain pace and meet deadlines.
  • Aid and cover for other team members where required, including troubleshooting and maintenance of production systems, programs, and applications.
  • Develop test case design, perform test case execution, and work with business and vendors to resolve identified issues.
  • Produce high-quality code for the full technological stack, from database to UI and everything in-between.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, and 5 years of experience in IT, or a Master's degree in Computer Science or related field, and 2 years of experience in IT.
  • Experience developing business, application, data, and infrastructure solutions to optimize performance, maintain, and troubleshoot application components in the cloud including AWS Lambda, Amazon RDS, Amazon EC2, and Amazon S3.
  • Experience using and contributing to the Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery process, including AWS CodePipeline.
  • Experience developing test cases, performing test case execution, and working with product teams to resolve issues using tools like JUnit, TestNG, Postman, and AWS CodeBuild.
  • Proficiency in producing code for the full technological stack using languages such as Java, JavaScript, Python, and HTML.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with cloud infrastructure and services beyond AWS, if applicable.
  • Additional certifications or advanced knowledge in AWS or related cloud platforms.
  • Experience with other programming languages or development tools.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, and 5 years of experience in IT.
  • Or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field, and 2 years of experience in IT.
