Java Software Engineer - NPS

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Researches, designs, implements, and maintains software applications based on user and business requirements.
• Writes clean, efficient, and well-documented code; performs unit and integration testing to ensure quality and reliability.
• Participates in Agile development processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives; adapts quickly to changing priorities and evolving requirements.
• Collaborates effectively with team members and stakeholders, maintaining a positive, solution-oriented mindset.
• Participates in an on-call rotation to support production systems and ensure application availability and performance.
• Continuously develops technical skills and stays current with industry trends, tools, and best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of experience in software development using Java.
• 1-2 years of experience integrating or leveraging AI tools within the software development lifecycle (e.g., code generation, testing, automation).
• Hands-on experience with the Spring Framework.
• Experience working with relational databases such as PostgreSQL and MSSQL.
• Proficiency in Java/JEE, including Spring and Hibernate.
• Familiarity with a variety of databases, including SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and MySQL.
• Experience with Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) and/or Microservices.
• Strong experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs.
• Logical, analytical, and creative approach to problem-solving.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organizational and time management skills; able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Demonstrated respect, collaboration, and pride in ownership.

Nice to Have

• Experience with cloud platforms or deployment automation is a plus.
• Knowledge of additional programming languages or frameworks.
