Cognizant is seeking a JAVA Technical Lead Developer to join our team. This role involves leading the design, development, and maintenance of scalable full-stack applications, collaborating with stakeholders, and ensuring best practices in architecture and coding.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the design, development, and maintenance of scalable and secure full-stack applications.
Architect solutions using best practices and ensure clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
Mentor and guide junior developers through code reviews, pair programming, and knowledge sharing.
Collaborate with business analysts, product managers, and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
Drive frontend development using ExtJS or other modern JS frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue).
Implement RESTful APIs and microservices using Java (Spring Boot preferred).
Ensure integration with databases (SQL/NoSQL) and third-party APIs.
Lead agile ceremonies like sprint planning, daily standups, and retrospectives.
Optimize performance, scalability, and security across both frontend and backend layers.
Handle deployment processes using CI/CD pipelines and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).

Requirements

Strong experience with ExtJS or Vue.js (preferred), or solid hands-on with other frameworks like React.js, Angular, or Vue.js.
Deep understanding of DOM, JavaScript, AJAX, HTML5, CSS3.
Strong proficiency in Java 8+, Spring Framework, Spring Boot, JPA/Hibernate.
Experience with RESTful API design and implementation.
Good understanding of microservices architecture.
Experience with RDBMS such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server.
Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.
Minimum of 8 years of professional experience in relevant roles.
Legal authorization to work in the United States.

Nice to Have

Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Experience with microservices architecture and deployment pipelines.
Knowledge of front-end frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.js.

Qualifications

Minimum of 8-12 years of experience in software development or related roles.
