JavaScript/Ruby On Rails Developer (REMOTE)

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Build out new capabilities in an existing Ruby on Rails web application.
• Write consistent, well thought out unit and system tests for all new features.
• Enhance existing CRUD operations of the evaluation data model and framework.
• Deliver simple solutions that align with existing CSS and JS conventions in the platform.
• Improve the web UI with new user interfaces to make data collection more intuitive.
• Write performant solutions prioritizing end customer satisfaction.

Requirements

• Proficiency with Ruby on Rails, SQL, Bootstrap.js, and RSpec.
• Experience with Postgres, CI/CD, and platform-oriented work.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations and virtual teams.
• BS/BA or equivalent degree in computer science or a related field (preferred).

Nice to Have

• Experience with Kafka.
