About the Role

The Kafka Messaging Engineer will be responsible for updating existing automation programs and developing new infrastructure automation for deploying and managing core messaging software such as Confluent Kafka and IBM MQ. The role involves working on automation, testing, and security standards in cloud environments, supporting high-complexity projects within a dynamic organization.

Key Responsibilities

Updating automation programs and developing new infrastructure automation for deploying and managing core messaging software like Confluent Kafka and IBM MQ.
Developing testing automation and troubleshooting problems during testing phases.
Providing IT security and automation expertise, including establishing baseline security standards and policies.
Identifying potential threats and risks and making recommendations to prevent security issues.
Working with automation projects using Python, Ansible, or Terraform in addition to Kafka-related tasks.
Applying basic knowledge of Linux/UNIX Shell Scripting and cloud environments (Public and Private Cloud).

Requirements

7+ years of hands-on experience in software development.
Skilled in updating automation programs and developing infrastructure automation for messaging software such as Confluent Kafka and IBM MQ.
Hands-on experience with Kafka or IBM IQ.
Experience with developing test automation using Python, Ansible, or Terraform.
Basic knowledge of Linux/UNIX Shell Scripting.
Knowledge of Public and Private Cloud environments.

Nice to Have

Experience working on separate automation projects alongside Kafka automation.
