National Grid is hiring a Lead Analyst, Strategy and Regulatory for DSO for our Digital Solutions department in Syracuse, Albany or Brooklyn, NY. Key Responsibilities
- Support overall development of strategic plan and coordinate with Finance on business plan.
- Lead the development of regulatory and policy plan including gathering key insights to shape policies and support discussions with regulators.
- Manage DSO capabilities roadmap by working with cross-functional teams and SMEs, identifying interdependencies and risks between flexibility offerings, operations, regulations, technology and finance.
- Collaborate with Electric, Customer, Regulatory, Finance & IT team members to share and further refine insights that will feed into final recommendations and presentations to senior leadership.
- Track trends in the energy and utility industries including policy, market, customer, competitors, and technology changes.
- Build partnerships with peer utilities & other external entities and support cross-collaboration within National Grid US & UK to gather insights & best practices.
- Collect and analyze data from primary and secondary sources and communicate findings and insights to the team in verbal and written formats. Draft reports for leadership and stakeholder forums.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in economics, finance, engineering, or public policy with seven years of relevant work experience; Master's/MBA degree a plus.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
- Working knowledge of the energy and electric and/or gas energy industries.
- Regulatory and policy knowledge on electric transmission and distribution.
- Customer programs and flexibility offerings knowledge in electric transmission and distribution.
- Strong analytical skills and fluency with Excel, PowerPoint, and digital whiteboarding tools.
- Ability to effectively communicate and work with people at all levels and across organizational boundaries.
- Ability to effectively manage internal and external stakeholders.
Nice to Have
- Background in management consulting or strategy development.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in relevant fields with seven years of experience; Master's/MBA a plus.

- Salary range: Upstate, NY: $124,000 - $145,000; Downstate, NY: $150,000 - $176,000.
