About the Role

Thomson Reuters is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to help grow CoCounsel, our state of the art AI assistant. In this role, you'll join a team of skilled engineers to plan and execute critical initiatives like our global expansion, disaster recovery strategy, and cross-cloud migration. Our ideal candidate is curious, sympathetic, and flexible.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive CoCounsel's expansion into new regions by architecting scalable infrastructure solutions
  • Design and execute our disaster recovery strategy to ensure platform reliability
  • Guide our migration from GCP to AWS, ensuring a seamless transition with minimal downtime
  • Collaborate with a team of experienced, self-directed engineers
  • Partner across teams to align infrastructure initiatives with business objectives

Requirements

  • Adept with AWS
  • Experienced at communicating web service architectures and driving their evolution
  • Experienced at developing user-facing web services, especially those leveraging type systems
  • Familiar with SQL databases
  • Low ego and collaborative
  • Understand that tech is a means to an end

Nice to Have

  • Familiar with Docker and Kubernetes
  • Familiar with LLMs
  • Familiar with GCP
