About the Role

Join AT&T as a Lead Software Engineering and be responsible for the overall delivery process of a software application or service, including design, development, testing, deployment, production support, and maintenance with a focus on automation. The role is based in Dallas, Texas, requiring office presence of at least 5 days per week, and offers the opportunity to work within a company committed to innovation, excellence, and employee growth. Key Responsibilities

Design, implement, and support a chat client/platform to be used when primary chat platforms are disrupted
Maintain and support existing chatbot automation platform
Collaborate to gather and review software requirements/user stories, provide estimates, create software design specifications and collaborate with engineers/architects to assess and test hardware and software interactions
Execute a specific development methodology through application of various programming languages
Create and execute automated test plans/strategies utilizing business requirements and collaborate with engineers/architects, clients, etc. to validate test environments, test data and test results, design and implement code fixes, validate outcomes against expected results and produce associated reporting
Perform dynamic application security testing, interface testing, integration testing, end-to-end testing and/or user acceptance testing
Support applications and solve configuration and environmental issues, including supporting the software deployment process

Requirements

5-8 years of experience in software engineering, specifically in a Technical Career Pathway (TCP) role
Experience with designing, developing, and supporting software applications
Proficiency in programming languages and automation strategies
Ability to collaborate on requirements gathering, testing, and deployment processes
Experience supporting applications and troubleshooting configuration and environmental issues

Nice to Have

Experience with Java, JavaScript, MS Graph, HTML, CSS, React or similar technologies
Bachelor's of Science degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Science, Electrical Engineering, or Math
Developer nanodegree or equivalent experience

Qualifications

Bachelor's of Science degree in relevant fields or equivalent experience
5-8 years of professional experience in software engineering roles
