Lead - Software Engineering

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the domain's technology strategy including transformational roadmaps.
• Participate actively in project planning and prioritization sessions to ensure initiatives align with business goals.
• Own delivery excellence by maintaining high quality standards for code and applications, and managing functional and non-functional requirements.
• Ensure development quality and testing to enable effective and efficient transition of solutions from development to production within the organization's cloud ecosystem.
• Manage and enforce enterprise architecture standards.
• Lead a portfolio of diverse technology projects and a team of developers experienced in distributed microservices and full stack systems.
• Staff, mentor, and grow technical talent through people management.
• Provide regular reports to senior executives on the status of the factory, including performance and incident management.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and tools and integrate this knowledge to improve methodologies and solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science.
• Proven experience in software development with relevant experience in Java, Springboot, NodeJS, REST API, real-time streaming architectures, and microservices architecture patterns.
• Experience leading, mentoring, and inspiring a team of software engineers.
• Deep expertise in designing and implementing modern 12-factor, cloud-native business technology solutions.
• Practical knowledge of cloud platforms, advanced software design patterns & architecture, operations, and software engineering.
• Proven track record of delivering scalable cloud-native solutions addressing concerns like logging, application testing, security, and instrumentation using languages such as Java, Python, SQL, and AWS tools and services.
• Strong communication skills to interact with engineers, operations staff, and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to Have

• Master's Degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering.
• Experience with coding and software development in Python, SQL, Java, JavaScript.
• Experience with Amazon Web Services.
• Experience with horizontal platforms or related technologies.
• Experience architecting large-scale, mission-critical, cloud-native enterprise applications.
• Experience with distributed database systems like Cassandra and ElasticSearch.
• Experience deploying clustered web services.
• Experience working with event-driven and microservice architecture.
