Mainframe Engineer - Exempt

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Act as a backup to the application manager.
• Participate in the technical design, development, and implementation of application systems.
• Develop innovative business solutions by creating new applications, modifying existing ones, and providing post-production support.
• Ensure all development aligns with established specifications and business requirements to deliver value to the organization.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in mainframe application development.
• Proficiency in COBOL, JCL, DB2, CICS, and other mainframe technologies.
• Familiarity with version control systems and GIT, CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Nice to Have

• MQ experience.
• Hands-on developing experience.
• Agile/Scrum experience.
• Jira.
• Excel.

Benefits & Perks

• Duration: 12 month contract to hire.
• Work Model: 4 days onsite required weekly.
• Rate Range: $70-75/hr W2 (based on experience).
