About the Role

Intuit is seeking a Manager 2, AI Science to join the AI team. The role involves building and deploying machine learning models using analytical algorithms and deep learning approaches, with the goal of creating models that directly impact hundreds of thousands of customers. The team is collaborative and creative, focusing on innovative AI solutions that power large-scale applications and business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and create a team of AI scientists.
  • Mentor and hire the best AI scientists in the valley.
  • Apply artificial intelligence and machine learning techniques to solve complex questions or fuel new business opportunities.
  • Deliver breakthrough benefits to Intuit users and customers across small business and consumer products using enriched and aggregated data.
  • Provide leadership in advanced engineering, AI science, and analytics for current or future products or technologies.
  • Provide technical leadership across multiple teams by understanding key technology areas deeply enough to guide strategy.
  • Inspire AI science innovations that fuel the growth of Intuit.
  • Understand and teach proven methods and hacking skills for working with divergent data types at scale, exploring and extrapolating data-driven insights using advanced, predictive statistical modeling.
  • Provide entrepreneurial guidance to business stakeholders for interpreting findings and building on insights from research.

Requirements

  • BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Math, Econometrics, Operations Research, Physics, or related fields.
  • 2+ years of experience as a technical leader/manager of AI science teams successfully delivering data-driven software products.
  • Expert command of AI and machine learning, statistical modeling, state-of-the-art tools, and engineering best practices.
  • Experience leading teams with expertise in data mining algorithms and statistical modeling techniques such as clustering, classification, regression, decision trees, neural nets, support vector machines, genetic algorithms, anomaly detection, recommender systems, and natural language processing.
  • Strong ability to convert complex data into insights and action plans.
  • Strategic thinking, flexibility in problem-solving, and excellent communication skills.
  • Passion for applying machine learning practically to real customer problems and powering large-scale applications.

Qualifications

  • Educational background in relevant technology fields such as Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Math, etc.
  • Proven leadership experience in AI science teams.
