About the Role

The Tyson Foods Brand Design team, which is part of the Enterprise Growth Team, is committed to delivering cohesive, memorable, and premium design experiences. We understand that best-in-class design creates a competitive advantage while also being a business driver that enables growth. As we build the vision for brand design, we are looking for a versatile hands-on Brand Designer to help bring to life Tyson's legacy brands, including Jimmy Dean, Hillshire Farm, Sara Lee, Aidell's, Ball Park and Wright Brand Bacon.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop visual concepts and layouts for various initiatives including packaging, digital and experiential
  • Infuse storytelling and brand purpose into design
  • Design break-through and award-winning work that sets new standards in creativity
  • Bring to life brand architecture frameworks that serve to maintain brand consistency and inspire best-in-class design
  • Art direct photoshoots
  • Partner with packaging production team to ensure accurate design intent
  • Attend press checks, review and approve proofs
  • Assist in developing competitive design audits that will be used to inform and educate the brand team
  • Assist in developing internal design training modules to inform and educate marketers and cross-functional teams

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in graphic design or related field
  • 5+ years of experience as a proven strategic brand design manager
  • Comprehensive CPG experience
  • Expertise in digital and experiential design within CPG
  • Proficient in the design process from ideation through to implementation
  • Self-starter, thinker and doer with organization, discipline, resilience, and energy for challenges
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and set realistic expectations
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Keynote, PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of AI framework, tools and platforms
  • Familiarity working within established brand guidelines and extensive design tools
  • Comfortable working with ambiguity
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Solid understanding of brand design fundamentals and problem solving as demonstrated by your portfolio

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in graphic design or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in strategic brand design management
