About the Role

Fairview is looking for a Manager- Digital Content to oversee the content strategy and execution for its digital platforms, including blogs and social media. The role involves collaborating with division leaders and internal teams to develop engaging, SEO-optimized content that aligns with Fairview's brand, mission, and strategic goals. The position emphasizes understanding audience engagement, digital trends, and social media best practices, with a focus on leadership and relationship-building within a diverse organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Gain a deep understanding of key stakeholders, issues, communication trends, and environmental factors to align communication strategies with organizational needs.
  • Develop and execute digital content strategies for complex projects that support Fairview's growth initiatives.
  • Manage content across platforms, collaborating with internal teams and external partners to ensure consistent messaging.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of SEO-optimized content for blogs, social media, and other digital channels.
  • Adjust strategies based on performance insights and optimize content for engagement, reach, and ROI.
  • Lead and coach team members to achieve strategic communication goals, setting clear expectations and professional development plans.
  • Guide teams through coaching, team-building, and feedback to meet organizational objectives.
  • Lead the development of complex, multifaceted communication strategies impacting both the communications function and the broader organization.
  • Manage online community engagement by responding to comments, messages, and feedback on social media to maintain a positive brand presence.
  • Lead the creation, curation, and publishing of digital content, including blog posts, social media updates, videos, and infographics.
  • Maintain an editorial calendar to ensure timely and relevant content delivery.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, media relations, and clinical teams, to align content with organizational priorities and ensure a consistent voice.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Arts in Communications, Journalism, or related field, or equivalent education and experience.
  • 10 years of experience in strategic/corporate communications, public affairs, human resources, or related field.
  • 5 years of experience leading and managing direct reports.
  • Experience working in a highly diverse organization with over 10,000 employees across multiple locations.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills.
  • Ability to develop and lead complex digital communication strategies including content creation, community management, and analytics.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with paid media platforms (Google Ads, Facebook Ads, LinkedIn Ads) and managing paid campaigns.
  • Creative thinking, adaptability, and problem-solving skills related to content engagement and performance.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Internet authoring tools, and desktop publishing tools.
  • 10 years of experience managing content across digital platforms, including blogs, social media, and websites.
  • Proven experience optimizing content for search engines using SEO tools and best practices.

Nice to Have

  • Master of Arts degree.
  • More than 10 years' experience in strategic corporate communications, public affairs, human resources, journalism, or related fields.
  • Experience working in a healthcare organization.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, or related field.
  • 10 years of relevant experience in strategic communications or related fields.
  • Experience managing teams and digital content across multiple platforms.
