Pega CSSA Software Engineer

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement Pega-based applications that support the Bank's fraud and dispute claims management system.
• Customize Pega applications by extending out-of-the-box functionality through development of custom rules, activities, integrations, and user interfaces.
• Integrate Pega applications with external systems, databases, web services, and APIs.
• Conduct unit testing, integration testing, and troubleshooting to ensure the quality and stability of Pega applications.
• Act as a liaison between Business Architects, Product Owners, Stakeholders, Lead Business Analysts, and IT PEGA teams to translate requirements effectively.
• Optimize solutions through detailed code and design reviews to ensure high code quality.
• Perform root cause analysis of production issues and implement appropriate solutions.
• Prepare technical design documents, deployment checklists, code review documents, and support production implementation.
• Ensure all development activities follow compliance and security best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• Three to five years of relevant experience.
• At least 2 years of experience with Pegasystems PRPC Platforms 7.X, 8.X, Infinity.
• Experience developing high-level class structures and workflows using PEGA PRPC.
• Experience integrating PEGA PRPC applications with external systems to retrieve and send data.
• Knowledge of software methodologies including Scrum, Kanban, and Agile, as well as Java, Jenkins, Jira, SQL, REST APIs, and XML.
• Proficiency in coding, testing, debugging, and modifying complex applications built on PEGA PRPC (PegaRULES Process Commander).
• Ability to perform root cause analysis of production issues and provide solutions.
• Experience preparing technical design documents, deployment checklists, and code review documents.

Nice to Have

• Experience with developing high-level class structures and workflows using PEGA PRPC.
• Experience with deploying PEGA PRPC applications and performing troubleshooting in production environments.
• Familiarity with DevOps principles and agile methodologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Information Systems, or a related field.
• Five years of progressively responsible experience as a Software Developer or related occupation.
