About the Role

Cognizant Technology Solutions is looking for a "POS Test Analyst" to join in our team of IT professionals in a permanent role. We are the largest Quality Assurance Practice globally, servicing over 800 clients, providing industry-leading QA offerings such as System Modernization assurance, Business Process Assurance, Quality Engineering, Cloud Platform Assurance, Customer Experience Assurance, and Robotic Test Automation. Key Responsibilities

Analyze business requirements and technical specification documents to prepare test plans and test strategy.
Prepare test plan documents for POS (Point of Sale) applications.
Participate in defect reporting, tracking, defect consolidation, defect prioritization, and status reporting.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams during defect triage calls for fixes.
Write extensive SQL queries to communicate with the Oracle backend for data accuracy, integrity, and security checks.
Validate logs and bank logs for POS testing, preferably with exposure to Oracle Xstore and downstream mainframe testing.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent related work experience.
7+ years of experience in Quality Engineering.
Must have experience with Point of Sale systems working within an agile framework.
Experience in test creation, test execution, and defect logging.
Proficiency with JIRA and Zephyr.
Understanding of Agile Framework concepts, especially SAFE.
Good communication skills.
Ability to analyze business requirements and technical documents.
