Principal Server Software Integration Engineer

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Take on a lead technical role within the product software team, working closely with cross-functional teams including SoC, software, firmware, verification engineering, configuration, and release management.
• Ensure end-to-end integration of a high-performance software stack and facilitate the successful, timely transition to production for server products.
• Maintain server reference platform software and firmware requirements traceability among all contributing teams.
• Contribute to firmware architecture and design with a focus on smooth integration and Design For Test (DFT).
• Coordinate all deliverables across different releases of the reference platform with cross-functional teams.
• Work with SW Verification Engineering teams to validate reference platform requirements at component, integration, functional, and system levels.
• Collaborate with PDM & PGM to understand customer platform adoption challenges and address them in subsequent releases.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field with 8+ years of relevant experience, or Master's degree with 7+ years, or PhD with 6+ years.
• At least 4 years of work experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Java, or Python.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams and clear communication of requirements and solutions.
• Decision-making skills that significantly impact program, product, or project success.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information.

Nice to Have

• Minimum 15 years experience in embedded software integration role.
• Extensive knowledge and experience in SW/FW engineering focused on datacenter solutions (minimum 5 years).
• Experience with SW/FW integration at BIOS/UEFI, BMC firmware, and operating systems for x86/ARM64/RISC-V 64bit server platforms.
• Knowledge of Linux datacenter distributions, Python, C/C++, and experience with open-source code bases and licenses.
• Experience with tools and toolchains such as GCC, LLVM, ARM toolchains, Jenkins, GitHub actions, Gitlab CI pipelines.
• Proven skills in automation, scripting, and building tools/applications for firmware integration and packaging.
• Experience in building and integrating firmware in environments like Linux VMs, Docker containers, and build infrastructure.
