About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Operate across the Productivity Technology organization and partner with other organizations and product development teams.
• Work with collaborators to ensure alignment between the organizations and product teams.
• Contribute directly to key strategic efforts.
• Model and mentor technical talent across Productivity Technology to ensure operational concerns are influential across the organization.
• Have a broad strategic impact across engineers and make a difference to the business.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in back-end software development.
• Experience in architecting, designing, and developing distributed systems.
• Experience in technical leadership and setting technical direction for engineering projects.
• Experience operating complex systems in production.
• Experience collaborating effectively across organizational boundaries, building relationships, and importing and exporting ideas.
• Excellent problem solving, negotiation, and organizational skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong understanding of alerting, monitoring, and analytics to drive business outcomes.
• Experience delivering complex services end to end with creativity in the face of ambiguity and imperfect data.
• Ability to understand the big picture and own business outcomes.
• Creative thinking when faced with technical roadblocks.
• Staying ahead of industry technology and business trends.
• Exploring promising new technologies that could impact future products and business direction.
• Proactively identifying bottlenecks and improvements across the platform.
