About the Role

Leidos has a new and exciting opportunity for a Software Engineer in our National Security Sector's (NSS) Cyber & Analytics Business Area (CABA). This role involves supporting a complex program with tasks including design, prototyping, debugging, software development, system integration, and documentation within an Agile team environment.

Key Responsibilities

Analyze user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements.
Debug existing software and correct defects.
Design and code new software or modify existing software to add new features.
Integrate existing software into new or modified systems or operating environments.
Develop simple data queries for existing or proposed databases or data repositories.
Write or review software and system documentation.
Develop or implement algorithms to meet or exceed system performance and functional standards.

Requirements

20 years' experience as a Software Engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university.
Must have TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.
Java development experience.

Nice to Have

Proficiency with Git, Linux, Jira, Confluence, Eclipse.
Familiarity with Agile Scrum methodologies.
Experience with React or similar libraries (Vue, Angular).
Strong problem-solving skills.
Ability to lead technical teams.
Experience in complex database or data repository interfaces/queries.
Proven ability to ensure quality control of developed and modified software.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
20 years of relevant software engineering experience.
TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.
