The Product Intelligence Specialist will be part of Northern Trust Asset Management's ('NTAM') Product Strategy team, responsible for leveraging data and technology to help drive strategic product management decisions including new product development, competitive positioning, and pricing. This individual will work with partners across various departments and external data providers to deliver scalable change in technology, reporting, and analytics, providing data-driven insights to compare NTAM's products to competitors through KPIs such as pricing, performance, and flows.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop architecture and vision for the Product Strategy data ecosystem that delivers scalable data product/solutions.
  • Deliver timely analysis to support executive decision making and track progress towards strategic goals for the organization.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and vendors to identify optimization and automation opportunities that allow NTAM Product Managers and Leadership to stay on top of trends and opportunities in the marketplace.
  • Work with business partners across the organization to continuously enhance and evolve NTAM product analytics used by various stakeholders.
  • Evaluate and recommend new and emerging technologies and data sources that support the NTAM Product Strategy roadmap.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in business intelligence, data architecture, or similar roles, including investment management industry and understanding of business processes and data requirements for Product Management teams.
  • Proficiency with business analytics tools like Power BI or Tableau.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce CRM and/or asset management industry data sources such as Morningstar, eVestment Analytics is strongly preferred.
  • Expertise with SQL, data modeling, ETL processes, and database management is a plus.
  • Working experience in Cloud technology - Azure, AWS, Snowflake and/or prior experience in moving On-Prem applications to Cloud model is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree is required; an MBA or advanced degree in computer science, information systems, or related field is a plus.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Salesforce CRM and asset management data sources such as Morningstar or eVestment Analytics.
  • Experience with Cloud technologies like Azure, AWS, Snowflake, or moving applications to Cloud.
