Python Lead Developer

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code.
• Set expectations and prioritize features throughout the development life cycle.
• Provide technical inputs on successfully implementing business solutions.
• Perform code reviews and peer reviews.
• Analyze user requirements, envision system features and functionality.
• Estimate effort for new requirements using relevant technology.
• Work independently or with a team and lead projects to completion.

Requirements

• Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Raleigh, NC or be willing to relocate prior to onboarding.
• Willingness to travel in the US as required.
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent from an accredited institution, or three years of progressive experience in lieu of education.
• At least 7 years of related experience in Information Technology.
• Proficiency in Core Python (data structures, conditions, iterator functions, general functions, operations, classes, PEP8/documentation).
• Experience with Advanced Python, FAST API, Flask, Django, and Restful API Webservices.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with remote teams.

Nice to Have

• Working knowledge of Restful API Webservices, HTML5, CSS, Javascript, JQuery, AJAX, Angular JS, Bootstrap, JSON, XML.
• Hands-on experience with RDMS like MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle, and non-relational databases like MongoDB and Cassandra.
• Understanding of Snowflake cloud technology.
• Object-oriented Python, multi-threading, exception handling, and collections using Python.
• Proficiency with container systems like Docker and orchestration tools such as EC2 Container Service, Kubernetes, Terraform.
• Experience with tools like Github, JIRA, Postman.
• Knowledge of Agile principles and practices.
• Familiarity with various design, architectural patterns, and software development processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent from an accredited institution.
• Three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
