About the Role

At Strata we are fueling the missions of lifeblood industries of our society. As a QA engineer on the Financial Institutions team, you will work on financial performance management software that allows financial institutions to plan and forecast for greater efficiency and effectiveness in their operations. You will become an expert in Strata's software and acquire a deep understanding of the technology driving the systems. In addition, you will collaborate with our development and consulting teams to ensure that the product is aligned with client needs and meets Strata's high quality of standards. To be successful in this role you must be passionate about quality assurance, financial planning and analysis, and like working in an agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

Work on an international agile team following an agile software development process.
Use your knowledge of financial planning and analysis and quality assurance methodology to create and execute test cases.
Work closely with product management to refine requirements and acceptance criteria and with software development to work through improvements to the software.
Identify, troubleshoot, document, and track defects found during testing.
Perform thorough regression testing on changes in the software.
Stay up to date on quality assurance, financial planning and analysis, agile process, and IT advancements to assure quality and modernize systems.
Leverage AI to create test scripts and test data.

Requirements

1-2 years of professional experience as a financial analyst at a bank or credit union or equivalent experience.
Experience with annual budget process, financial analysis, forecasting, or profitability analytics, preferably as these processes apply to financial institutions.
Experience with financial modeling in Excel.
Experience with data analysis, data structures, and databases.
Experience leveraging AI in financial analysis.
Ability to write clear and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
Strong self-motivation, and the ability to work effectively with limited guidance when necessary.
A drive to learn quickly and constantly adapt to new challenges.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice to Have

Experience with software quality assurance methodology and testing of web applications.
Programming experience.
Experience with SQL.
Experience with agile software methodologies like SAFe or Scrum.
Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle.
Experience with defect tracking and test management tools such as Microsoft Azure DevOps.

Salary range of $68,000 - $84,000, with actual salary determined based on skill set and experience.
