About the Role

As a Retail Analytics Analyst, you will be responsible for becoming an Ace data knowledge source and executing various store, category, and field-level analytics and projects. The role involves developing efficiencies within reporting and analysis, analyzing and reporting on new Ace initiatives, and supporting data-driven decision-making across multiple departments within Ace Hardware.

Key Responsibilities

Learn/absorb the foundational store and retail data to support analytics
Develop time-saving reporting improvements leveraging Alteryx and Microsoft Power BI
Build reports, training, and capabilities to enable end users in various corporate departments to produce accurate reporting
Work with the business area and IT to elicit, define, and interpret requirements for projects in a timely fashion
Work with IT to perform business process analysis to ensure data integrity
Work cross-functionally with Analytics teams in Category Management, Marketing, Merchandising, and Acehardware
Become familiar with reporting produced by other groups to identify potential reporting differences
Contribute to month-end reporting including executive KPI data gathering, store peer group assignments, updating data for sales forecast, and maintaining KPI counts
Analyze and report on new Ace initiatives, developing reporting to evaluate store and chain performance
Research discrepancies between reports, dashboards, and strategic metrics
Keep leaders updated on retail growth strategy progress through Higher Ground reporting, including monthly updates and quarterly deep dives
Streamline project tracking by developing and maintaining reports on retail projects, providing monthly results to leadership and performance reports

Requirements

A minimum of 3 years Business / Marketing Analytics Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, or related field
PC proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
Analytical, quantitative, and critical thinking skills
Proficient with MS Excel; experience with data mining and query tools, BI reporting tools preferred
Self-starter with strong drive and motivation to make change and support fact-driven decisions
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
