About the Role

Thales is seeking an experienced Sales Analytics Manager to develop, implement, and maintain sales analytics frameworks, dashboards, and reporting mechanisms. The role involves transforming complex sales data into actionable insights to optimize sales performance and support strategic decision-making. Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain advanced data models, sales dashboards, and reports using Power BI to provide real-time visibility into key sales metrics, trends, and performance indicators.
  • Develop and monitor KPIs and sales metrics to measure the effectiveness of sales strategies and initiatives, including sales territory design, quota setting, and incentive compensation plans.
  • Translate complex data into clear, concise, and actionable recommendations for sales leadership and executive teams.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of sales data to identify opportunities for improvement, uncover bottlenecks, and predict future sales trends.
  • Support sales forecasting processes by improving accuracy through data analysis and process optimization.
  • Serve as the primary Power BI expert within the sales organization, leveraging its full capabilities for data modeling, visualization, and advanced analytics.
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity within Power BI reports and dashboards.
  • Provide training and support to sales team members on Power BI report utilization.
  • Manage user access, roles, and profiles within Power BI to maintain data security.
  • Develop and optimize Salesforce reports and dashboards to support sales operations, forecasting, and performance management.
  • Collaborate with IT and stakeholders to implement new Salesforce features, enhancements, and integrations.
  • Partner with Marketing Operations, Finance, and Product teams to analyze lead generation, campaign ROI, sales performance, and provide insights for product development.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in Sales Operations, analytics, and business intelligence.
  • Expert-level proficiency in Power BI, including data preparation, data modeling (PowerQuery & DAX), report development, and dashboard creation.
  • Experience with Salesforce as an end user and data user for reporting purposes.
  • Proven ability to analyze complex sales data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights.
  • Strong understanding of B2B sales processes, methodologies, and pipeline management.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and complex formulas.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills for conveying complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proactive, self-starter attitude with problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Nice to Have

  • Experience working with sales forecasting and incentive compensation plans.
  • Knowledge of additional BI tools or data visualization platforms.
