Job Description

About the Role

This role will support one or more direct or indirect contracts with the U.S. Federal Government which, due to federal government security requirements, mandates that all Workday personnel working on the contracts be United States citizens (naturalized or native). The position is part of the Cyber Security Tooling team, focused on building, deploying, and supporting security tools, systems, and frameworks to incorporate security best practices into the application service teams at Workday. Key Responsibilities

  • Build, deploy, and support security tools, systems, and frameworks to meet security needs across the organization.
  • Lead efforts to ensure applications have security integrated before release.
  • Discover, assess, and report all types of security vulnerabilities throughout Workday.
  • Support the automation of repeatable security tasks and controls.
  • Develop tools and components that meet the needs of various technology organizations to keep customer data secure.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in Software Development within Cyber Security, Software Engineering, or Public Cloud Platform Engineering.
  • Experience with public cloud technologies, automation, and cloud-native applications, preferably GCP and/or AWS.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and integrations.
  • Proficiency in at least one modern programming language such as Golang, Ruby, Python, Java 8+, Scala, Rust, or JavaScript.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Cybersecurity or relevant fields.
  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Experience with deployment of security tools used in development pipelines such as SAST, DAST, IAST, Fuzzing tools, Twistlock, Snyk, Hashicorp Vault.
  • Experience building Dockerized applications and container orchestration in public and private clouds.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience in developing, deploying, and supporting security-specific solutions including automation of security tasks.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with security tools like SAST, DAST, IAST, Fuzzing tools, Twistlock, Snyk, Hashicorp Vault.
  • Building Dockerized applications and container orchestration in cloud environments.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Cybersecurity or relevant fields.
