About the Role

We're on the hunt for a bold, strategic, and wildly talented Senior Creative Manager to lead our in-house team and shape how the world sees our brand. In this pivotal role, you'll be the keeper of our visual and verbal identity—making sure everything we create is not just beautiful and on-brand, but scroll-stopping, thumb-pausing, and cart-filling. From digital ads to packaging, emails to catalogs, store signage to video content; if it's creative, it's your kingdom. You'll guide projects from ideation to execution, collaborate across teams, mentor designers, manage timelines, and champion high standards every step of the way.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage creative processes and determine the best internal or external resources to produce assets, communicating clear direction, providing actionable feedback and direction of deliverables, and setting appropriate expectations on tasks and schedules.
  • Proficient in designing, polishing and formulating assets that are needed and optimized for development including organizing, populating assets/photos, font libraries, etc.
  • Able to design in Photoshop and XD for web and email assets, and InDesign/Illustrator for print assets.
  • Drive the design process using your deep knowledge of design development, troubleshooting issues that could slow down asset development.
  • Lead brainstorming sessions with the Creative Team.
  • Facilitate project kick-offs working closely with project managers to ensure creative briefs are complete.
  • Provide mood boards, concept art, storyboards, and style guides to communicate visual direction, references and guidelines.
  • Partner with the Art Director and Communications Director to conceptualize new designs including web assets, social media content, emails, and print collateral.
  • Have close involvement in marketing strategy for yearly campaigns.
  • Work closely with Cross-Functional Partners (Brand Marketing, Retail Marketing, Social Media Marketing, Merchandise Marketing, etc.) to provide creative solutions and execute designs in a timely manner.
  • Create and maintain system organization for electronic files and images through online database and archiving to removable media.
  • Support Road Runner Sports culture, quality standards and deliverables.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, graphic design, or equivalent experience is preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in creative roles, with 2+ years in a leadership or management capacity.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing a mix of digital and print creative work.
  • Proven experience developing and maintaining brand guidelines.
  • Excellent understanding of design, copy, photography, video, and print production.
  • Skilled at giving clear, actionable creative direction and feedback.
  • Highly organized, deadline-driven, and collaborative.
  • Experience in consumer products, retail, fashion, or lifestyle brands is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Project Management software; Asana preferred.
  • Expert ability in Creative Cloud programs and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Self-motivated, resourceful, hardworking with a positive attitude.
  • Well organized, detail- and solutions-oriented.
  • Strong understanding of design principles and best practices across digital and print.
  • Ability to adapt to fast-changing needs and developments.
  • Multi-tasking of many projects at various stages.
  • Time management skills to prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of video editing and HTML/CSS fundamentals is a plus.
  • Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills including the ability to communicate design rationale.
