Senior Data Engineer

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Develop data analytics for desktop and web-developed visual analytic software.
• Facilitate bulk analysis of relational information utilizing advanced graphics, visualization, and high-performance computing.
• Establish applications that produce manageable, actionable intelligence from streams of structured and semi-structured data.
• Design strategies for enterprise database systems and set standards for operations, programming, and security.
• Design and construct large relational databases.
• Integrate new systems with existing warehouse structures and refine system performance and functionality.
• Create tools, platforms, and environments for demos, product testing, and software releases.
• Troubleshoot operational tests, releases, software defects, and other issues.
• Develop business requirements and specifications, and implement solutions.

Requirements

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Creative, collaborative, and team-oriented mindset.
• 8+ years of experience in UI & Backend/Middleware development.
• 8+ years of experience with React, NodeJS, Python, GraphQL, RabbitMQ, Redis.
• 1+ years of experience querying and retrieving data from a Lucene-based index; ElasticSearch experience preferred.
• 1+ years of Agile project experience.
• 1+ years of AWS development experience.
• Ability to write SQL queries to extract data from MySQL, NoSQL, and Postgres databases.
• BS in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• Experience creating tools, platforms, and environments for demos, testing, and releases.
• Experience troubleshooting operational tests, releases, software defects, and other issues.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and conduct analysis of data processes.
• Ability to develop business requirements and specifications.

Nice to Have

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer and Information Security, Computer Security, or Network Administration.
• Recent work experience as a senior-level or technical lead in a related position on major programs or projects.
• Minimum of seven years recent experience in computer software development, programming, or digital forensics.

• Minimum of seven years recent experience in related computer software development or project leadership.
