The Analytics, Investments and Marketing Enablement (AIM) team - a part of Global Commercial Services Marketing (GCSM) - is the analytics engine that enables the Global Commercial business. The team is responsible for driving Commercial Customer acquisitions, engagement & retention by evolving our card & beyond-card products, targeting customers over online and offline channels through delivering world-class Analytics, Insights and Data Products. This Senior Manager role, based out of New York, would be a part of AIM team responsible for US Commercial Customer Spend Engagement and Retention Analytics and Data Sciences, in close partnerships with a diverse set of stakeholders in the US. The incumbent would work on a team with presence in NY and Gurgaon (India). This specific Senior Manager role would be a part of the 'Paid Search Digital Acquisition Analytics' team within AIM - responsible for driving analytics for Project Flywheel.

Key Responsibilities

  • Creating world class analytical solutions and developing cutting edge, future-proof Identity & Personalization capabilities powered by Data, Dynamic Intelligence.
  • Delivering innovative targeting solutions in collaboration with stakeholders across Global Commercial Services, Enterprise Digital and Data Solutions group & with External Mar Tech Partners.
  • Optimizing performance and driving efficient growth through developing Personalized acquisition incentive strategy for the launch of Dynamic application capability where acquisition incentives for a small business credit card application are revealed during the card application journey instead of upfront offering.
  • Conducting analytics to devise targeting strategy for Employee Card offerings to small business credit card holders when they visit AXP web assets.
  • Pulling and analyzing data to develop actionable data-driven insights through a deep understanding of the commercial business.
  • Developing and fostering cross functional relationships with partners across American Express to ensure project prioritization and implementation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Finance, Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science or Economics).
  • 2+ years of experience with PySpark/Python/SQL/SAS.
  • Strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills to solve unstructured and complex business problems and articulate key findings to senior leaders/stakeholders to influence business decision making.
  • Strong understanding of the digital eco-system as it relates to digital analytics, related tools & technology like Clickstream logs, Data management platforms, Real-time recommender systems.
  • Ability to work within cross-functional teams to connect the dots and bring new innovations to life.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice to Have

  • 2+ years of digital analytics experience and familiarity with paid marketing channels, digital marketing technology.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and across a matrix organization partnering with cross-functional teams and external vendors to deliver solutions at top speed.
