Key Responsibilities

Lead and work with a team of highly talented engineers to build and deliver product and technology roadmap.
Work closely with product owners to understand product and customer needs and enable the product vision for Segmentation, Targeting and Eligibility teams.
Collaborate within and across business units to prioritize, plan, and execute the development schedule for major product releases.
Coach and develop talent, promoting a culture of inclusion, collaboration, and continuous team improvement through mentoring, feedback, and metrics.
Whiteboard and socialize changes and system designs in collaboration with architects, tech leads and team members.
Manage co-located and remote engineering teams.
Manage Tech OKRs and strive to continuously improve the metrics month over month.
Recruit and hire best-in-class and diverse talent from the industry.
Influence up/down/across and evangelize modern data engineering principles.
Engage in 1-on-1 conversations with team members to provide mentorship and career development planning.
Define best practices and drive reengineering opportunities.
Participate in peer code reviews and technical discussions.
Drive innovation within a fast-paced agile environment.

Requirements

BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
12+ years of hands-on experience with Big Data, Java (Hadoop, Hive, Spark, Scala, Python, Java, Spring Boot, GCP Cloud).
Experience being a people leader, coaching, mentoring, and guiding for highly talented technical teams.
Proven experience hiring, retaining, and leading high-caliber engineering talent.
Experience managing software engineering teams designing and building software products in a fast-paced, complex and dynamic environment.
Experience with data pipelines, Airflow, Kafka, Git, Jenkins, and CI/CD pipelines.
Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.
Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
Familiarity with Agile & Scrum methodologies.
GCP Professional Data Engineer certification is a plus.

Nice to Have

Experience with GCP Cloud and Spark applications.
Experience with data pipelines and related tools.

Qualifications

BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
12+ years of experience in relevant technical areas
