About the Role

The role is for a Senior Python Engineer with experience in Trading Systems, based in New York or Los Angeles, CA. The position involves working with quantitative models, integrating them into operational systems, and supporting trading and portfolio management teams within the financial services industry.

Key Responsibilities

Work with Fixed Income Analytics or Trading Systems, specifically with Quantitative Models and their integration into operational systems.
Collaborate directly with Traders or Portfolio Managers to solicit requirements and enhancements to trading systems.
Provide production support to trading and portfolio management users.
Build real-time applications for Structured, Rates, Corporate, or Municipal Fixed Income desks.
Develop applications using Python programming and AWS stack technologies including EKS, API Gateway, Lambda, Redis, and databases like Postgres and S3.
Integrate with market data providers such as Bloomberg and TradeWeb.
Build APIs, Calculation Engines, batch, and real-time modules supporting web applications used by trading or portfolio management teams.

Requirements

Experience with Fixed Income Analytics or Trading Systems.
Worked with Quantitative Models and their integration into operational systems.
Experience working directly with Traders or Portfolio Managers.
Proficiency in building real-time applications for trading desks.
Strong Python programming skills.
Experience with AWS Stack including EKS, API Gateway, Lambda, Redis.
Knowledge of databases such as Postgres and S3 technologies.
Experience integrating with market data providers like Bloomberg and TradeWeb.
Experience building APIs, calculation engines, batch, and real-time modules.
10-12 years of experience in asset management or the financial services industry.
