About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Develop software engineering solutions for Orion's Ground Support Tools software team.
• Apply logical thinking and creative problem-solving to develop, enhance, or troubleshoot software.
• Support lab productivity by providing off-hours support when necessary.
• Contribute within a team-oriented environment to achieve long-range goals and objectives.
• Investigate and resolve anomalies related to software systems.

Requirements

• Extensive experience with Big Data.
• Experience with Apache Hadoop or AWS.
• Experience with relational databases.
• Expertise in Java full-stack development.
• Knowledge of Telemetry systems and processing.
• Experience with systems integration.
• Experience with anomaly investigation and resolution.
• Willingness to provide off-hours support to ensure lab productivity.
• Ability to contribute within a team-oriented environment.
• Solid written or verbal communication skills.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education.
• Must be onsite 3 days per week.
• The candidate needs to obtain security clearance.

Nice to Have

• Knowledgeable in Python.
• Experience with Agile and DevOps processes.
• Ability to assist users and lab managers with data analysis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education.
