Senior Vice President, Full-Stack Engineer

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Consults with internal business groups to provide high-level application software development services or technical support.
• Must have thorough and demonstrative knowledge of both the user-side frontend of a website and the backend, server-side that powers the user-side.
• Provides comprehensive senior-level technical consulting to IT management and senior technical staff.
• Evaluates compliance with the organization’s technology standards.
• Programs well-designed, testable, efficient code.
• Analyzes, designs, and develops tests and test-automation suites.
• Develops flowcharts, layouts, and documentation to satisfy requirements and solutions.
• Maintains software functionality and currency (technical debt and gain).
• Actively participates in code reviews.
• Integrates software components into a fully functional software system.
• Applies security and privacy principles.
• Works with internal business groups on implementation opportunities, challenges, and requirements of various applications.
• Analyzes information and provides recommendations to address and resolve business issues.
• Guides and consults with IT management and technical staff regarding emerging technologies.
• Participates in defining corporate strategies for new technology implementation and integration.
• Mentors junior engineers and advocates for innovative, creative technology solutions.

Requirements

• Expertise in using specific application development toolkits and proficiency in front-end and back-end development languages such as C#, Java, HTML, NodeJS, CSS, JSON, Angular, JavaScript.
• Proficiency in application frameworks and containerization.
• Strong communication, organization, and team work skills.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
• 10-14 years of experience in software development.
• Understanding of interdependencies and business impact of future IT plans.
• Prior experience in selecting and implementing vendor-specific methodologies.
• Broad experience with multi-platform development tools and toolkits.
• Experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus.
