About the Role

The role involves building and maintaining software applications to support derivatives trading activities within SMBC Capital Markets, a derivatives trading company based in New York City with offices in London and Hong Kong. The position requires interaction with the development team to contribute to the overall objectives of the trading system development team.

Key Responsibilities

Build and maintain a variety of software applications, tools, or functions to support the business.
Interact with the larger development team, share design and solutions, and contribute to the overall objectives of the development team.
Enhance post trade processing functions such as payment processing, accounting, or trade regulatory reporting.
Design and develop applications to improve existing business functions.
Participate in projects to migrate legacy systems into new platforms.
Support trading systems by providing answers to user inquiries or resolving batch job issues.
Follow SMBC CM development standards and contribute to the team’s overall agenda.

Requirements

3+ years of professional experience in a large & complex application development environment involving complicated data schemas.
Experience in application designs for complicated process flows.
Experience in analyzing and designing complicated Data/Object Relations.
Experience in C/C++/C#/Python; advanced C experience is a plus.
Experience in OOD/OOP, especially in C#.
Good SQL knowledge.
Must be a good team player and able to work cooperatively or independently.
Quick learner and problem solver.

Advanced C experience.
