About the Role

Galactic is here to assist, advise and educate Managed Service Providers on how to best protect their clients from cyberattacks. We provide tools and assessments to help MSPs determine just how vulnerable they and their clients are to attack, and strategies to improve and build out their cyber stacks. We are a small, agile, fully-remote company that is growing fast. We are looking for people who take extreme ownership, do it better through process improvement and automation, make work fun, and do the right thing even when it's hard.

Key Responsibilities

Design, implement and test features for our cross-platform security scanners
Work with our scanner and portal-side development teams to address defects and pay down tech-debt
Develop advanced telemetry to diagnose and debug problems in the field
Implement a new feature to detect the presence of a specific security gap in a user's system

Requirements

Understanding of object-oriented, modular design
Self-directed and high agency
Vast experience writing testable, self-documenting code
Detail focused, critical thinking with stellar problem-solving skills
5+ years' experience with any modern programming language (C#, Typescript, Python, Rust, Go, etc.)

Nice to Have

Strong written and verbal communications
Ability to explain technical concepts to both non-technical and technical audiences
Functional programming experience
Familiarity with .Net Core 6+

Qualifications

5+ years' experience with modern programming languages
