Job Description

About the Role

As a software engineer, you know that great software isn't just built-it's crafted. It's more than an elegant UI or a clean data model, and it's the integration of intuitive interfaces, robust backend systems, scalable APIs, and resilient infrastructure. At Booz Allen, we're looking for a software engineer who's passionate about building impactful solutions end-to-end, from whiteboard to production. In this role, you'll work in a fast-paced, agile environment alongside a team of mission-driven engineers, designers, and analysts. You'll contribute to solutions that matter-whether it's streamlining internal tools or building new products that serve national security missions. You'll apply modern engineering practices, use the latest open-source frameworks, and continuously sharpen your technical toolkit. You'll engage directly with stakeholders, write clean, maintainable code, and help shape the technical strategy and delivery approach for your team. We value engineers who are curious, collaborative, and eager to contribute. Whether you're deep in code or in a design session, your ideas will help shape solutions that drive real change. Work with us to build mission-ready systems that make a difference.

  • Engage directly with stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver technical solutions.

  • Shape the technical strategy and delivery approach for the team.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience designing, developing, modifying, or implementing software applications.
  • 2+ years of experience with common programming languages or web development stacks.
  • Experience writing, maintaining, or enhancing source code for production-level software.
  • Experience working within Agile teams using Scrum, Kanban, or XP methodologies.
  • Experience solving complex technical problems in collaborative, cross-functional environments.
  • Ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree.

  • Experience working with DevOps pipelines and CI/CD tools, such as Jenkins, GitLab, Docker, or Kubernetes.
  • Knowledge of integrating automated tests and quality checks into development workflows.
  • Secret clearance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree.

Benefits & Perks

  • Health, life, disability, financial, and retirement benefits.
  • Paid leave, professional development, tuition assistance, work-life programs, and dependent care.
