As a Software Engineer within PNC's Retail Lending organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA. The position is primarily based in a PNC location, with responsibilities requiring time in the office or in the field on a regular basis. Some responsibilities may be performed remotely, at the manager's discretion. PNC will not provide sponsorship for employment visas or participate in STEM OPT for this position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develops, tests and implements software solutions.
  • Designs software solutions to address business needs.
  • Writes code, tests and deploys software.
  • Prepares technical and procedural documentation required for software.
  • Maintains and debugs software.

Requirements

  • Application Development, Business Management, Customer Solutions, Design, Group Problem Solving, Process Improvements, Release Management, Software Solutions, User Experience (UX) Design
  • Application Design, Architecture, Application Development Tools, Application Maintenance, Application Testing, Packaged Application Integration, System Development Life Cycle, Technical Troubleshooting, Technical Writing/Documentation
  • Roles at this level typically require a university / college degree, with 2+ years of relevant professional experience.
  • In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education, job specific certification(s), and experience (including military service) may be considered.
  • Bachelors degree

Nice to Have

  • Experience with application development and design
  • Knowledge of system development life cycle and technical troubleshooting
  • Experience with user experience (UX) design and process improvements
