The Digital Engineering organization is dedicated to creating a world-class customer experience through the ecommerce platform, supporting shopping on the website, mobile app, and marketplaces. The Software Engineer - Digital will focus on planning, designing, and developing features for the ecommerce experience, working closely with stakeholders to meet business needs within budget.

Key Responsibilities

Develop rich, responsive, and accessible UI components using Next.js, React, and other JavaScript frameworks.
Implement seamless integration with Commerce Tools e-commerce platform.
Work with external APIs and vendor tools (e.g., for inventory, search, product recommendations, email platforms) to enhance customer experiences.
Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to bring new features to life.
Participate in agile development cycles including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
Ensure performance, cross-browser compatibility, analytics integration and SEO optimization for web experiences.
Contribute to front-end architecture and technical decision-making.
Write clean, maintainable, and testable code while conducting code reviews.
Collaborate with other IT teams, including infrastructure and system owners, to ensure smooth integration.
Monitor progress, proactively identify and address software development issues, and participate in collaborative design, code, and configuration reviews.
Participate in Agile rituals such as daily standups, iteration planning, story huddles, and retrospectives.
Design moderately complex software applications, components, and modules following software design standards.
Collaborate with operations to conduct root cause analysis on complex challenges.
Assess and analyze release components for input to release scheduling and change control.

Requirements

Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or equivalent.
4 to 8 years of experience as a software engineer working on front-end technologies in an agile environment.
Experience with Agile, Continuous Integration, TDD, Continuous Delivery, Pairing, Automated Testing.
Proficient in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
Strong hands-on experience with Next.js and React.js.
Experience working with Commerce Tools, Shopify, or similar headless commerce platforms.
Demonstrated ability to integrate with external vendor APIs and tools (e.g., Algolia, Blueshift, Salsify).
Understanding of front-end to back-end integration, API development, and integration.
Familiarity with version control systems such as Git, and workflows using GitHub or GitLab.
Experience with AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, or Oracle Cloud.
Retail/Ecommerce experience is a must.
Highest level of personal integrity and professional judgment.
Ability to support on and offshore teams.
Self-motivated and committed to top-quality service.

Nice to Have

Experience building APIs and Java-based micro-services with Spring Boot.
Experience in developing applications with Ruby on Rails.

Qualifications

Educational background in computer science or equivalent.
