About the Role

Coinbase is seeking experienced frontend engineers to join our team to build out the next generation of crypto-forward products and features. The Growth organization drives Coinbase's mission of bringing the world onchain by building and leveraging growth tools across multiple avenues, including referral and incentives programs, notifications systems, logged-out web experiences, and onboarding flows. The role involves building systems to make cryptocurrency accessible globally, working in a high-caliber environment with a mission to increase economic freedom through blockchain technology. The work culture is intense and collaborative, with in-person participation required throughout the year, including team and company-wide offsites.

Key Responsibilities

Build and run experiments to power the growth of Coinbase's retail products.
Build engaging, dynamic, and accessible user experiences that delight users while providing world-class ease of use and security.
Work with engineers, designers, product managers, and senior leadership to turn product and technical vision into a tangible roadmap every quarter.
Write high quality, well tested code to meet the needs of customers.

Requirements

At least 2+ years of experience in developing web apps and shipping user-facing features with JavaScript and modern, component-based JS frameworks like React.
Experience developing and shipping user-facing features using component-based UI frameworks.
Familiarity with current trends and best practices in front-end architecture, including performance, security, and usability.
Knowledge of product and design lifecycles and experience collaborating closely with designers, engineers, and product managers.
Ability to write high quality, well tested code to meet customer needs.

Nice to Have

Experience launching new products from 0 to 1.
Experience with growth experiments or A/B testing frameworks.
Worked on front-end teams in the finance or security space.
At least 1 year of experience in developing React Native mobile apps or helping move existing native apps to React Native.
Crypto-forward experience, including familiarity with onchain activity such as interacting with Ethereum addresses, using ENS, and engaging with dApps or blockchain-based services.
